If you are really "in love" hire a detective to check him out. Play it safe, smart too.
When I met my husband and he wanted to get married after knowing each other only months, I made him wait one year. I figured he couldn't keep up a front that long and would give away his true self eventually. What if he was an alcoholic, a gambler, mental, etc. We were married for over 40 years.
